The Guildford Temporary Crematorium was part of the Guildford Borough Council’s two stage programme of Crematoria development. The temporary Guildford Crematorium building was made to accommodate Cremation services while a larger facility was being built. The temporary building, a Röder HTS Höcker manufactured design, was a large bespoke steel framed building with hard panelling, a tented roof, full electrics, and safety tested, that has a steel grid carpeted floor.
Guildford Borough Council have now built their permanent Crematorium and have since sold the temporary building along with the contents including 120 stacking chairs, the new catafalque, a rise and all lectern, and committal canopy and curtains. The building and contents were installed towards the end of 2018.
Treske supplied all the seating and other furniture, catafalque, and fitted the committal canopy and curtains as part of the crematorium furniture commission. Treske have since moved all the furniture on behalf of Guildford Borough Council.
Chapel and Crematoria Benches, table top lectern, altar, bench frontals and book holders for McLaren's Airdrie Funeral Parlour.
The new furniture consisted of a bespoke catafalque, console table, ambo-style lectern incorporating audio visual controls, and the main committal curtains and voile.
Treske worked with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to create a scheme for their refurbished Robin Hood Crematorium including bench seating, tracks, curtain controls and curtains.
