Each Crematoria or Funeral Parlour requires an individual approach to developing their designs and proposal. Concepts for different crematoria furniture items are discussed and finalised. Within the committal area Treske have designed and made catafalques to rise and fall, as well as those that are fixed or moveable. Lecterns or readers that are adjustable and wheelchair friendly are designed to order, often incorporating full audio visual and curtain control. Similarly, seating frontals, console tables and flower pedestal stands can be designed to coordinate with seating and committal areas. Console tables can also function as a small catafalque for child services.
Treske help plan the seating, allowing for bariatric coffins access or for where to place a coffin stand. Modern or traditional seating options including upholstered chairs, rush or wood seats, benches, pews or sofas. Book holders and chair linkages are available as part of developing modern seating solutions.
Treske design around how the Crematorium works, from busy reception areas catering for funeral directors and staff, to the many different rooms and furniture needs of a modern crematoria. From family rooms offering comfortable chairs or sofa seating, tables, to display cabinets designed to show potential memorials. Flower rooms with access to water and flower preparation flower preparation requirements, and with tiered shelving for flower gifts and displays. Memorial bookcase rooms are frequently required by crematoria, with purpose made memorial bookcases displays.
Treske offer a full curtain making and track system, combined with a design and installation service. Initial proposals often cover potential colours and fabric designs, as well as the opening and closing sequence and organisation of voile and main curtains, often controlled from the lectern.

Case Studies
Cheltenham Crematorium
Treske were commissioned to design and make bespoke crematoria furniture for the two chapels. Catafalques, adjustable height lecterns, sofa seating, upholstered seats and committal curtains were part of the commission.
Guildford Crematorium
The new furniture consisted of a bespoke catafalque, console table, ambo-style lectern incorporating audio visual controls, and the main committal curtains and voile.
Stockton Crematorium
Crematoria furniture including the reception desk, catafalques for two chapels with seating on curved benches designed especially by Treske, with console tables, flower stands and a lectern with full audio visual and curtain controls installed.
Trent Valley Crematorium
Treske completed the interior furnishing for Trent Valley Crematorium with the catafalque, lectern, upholstered chair seating, reception desk, sound desk furnishing, as well as furniture, including tables, chairs and display shelving for the meeting rooms.
Pure Cremation
Treske designed a catafalque with a rise and fall platform, with heavy duty bariatric rollers, as well as an oak lectern and stacking Harrogate chairs.
Lea Fields Crematorium
Treske supplied Howe 40/4 upholstered chairs and seating, also designing and making bespoke crematorium furniture consisting of a bariatric catafalque, frontals, reader, AV controls, console table, cross, flower stands and memorial bookcase, along with curtains and tracking for the committal area.
Hatfield Crematorium
Hatfield Crematorium commissioned Treske to supply, design and make bespoke Crematoria furniture for the new build Oak Hill crematorium including 120 HOWE all wood stacking chairs and a double width catafalque allowing for two coffins to be placed on the platform at one time.
