The latest of the Memoria crematoriums is the North Oxfordshire Memorial Park located just off the main Bicester to Oxford road. This Memoria complex consists of two buildings, the main crematorium and the smaller Churchill Pavilion. The main contractor for the project was Beard Construction.
Memoria chose Treske to manufacture and design their furniture. Treske has a similar company ethos to Memoria with innovation, sustainability and quality at the heart of their family business. Memoria are the first major new crematoria project to be fitted with electric cremators.
Treske furnished the Memoria chapel with Harrogate upholstered side chairs along with matching sofa seating for the family front rows, seating 130 people within the chapel. Memoria have designed the foyer to accommodate a further 280 people for large services and a further 400 within the porte-cochere and the Churchill Pavilion.
Treske made a special design of catafalque, lectern and plinth as well as fitting the curtain rails, canopy and curtains. White Silk flowers were also supplied in line with Memoria branding, while pictures were also chosen for the wall art. Flower plinths and a coat stand were joined by a specially chosen chandelier to complete this modern contemporary crematorium. Treske designed and manufactured the lectern to house the lighting and sound control systems in conjunction with Obitus to enable effective control of the service.
The separate Churchill pavilion was fitted out with shelving, poseur tables and chairs as well as the crematoria reception desk.
Treske completed the interior furnishing for Trent Valley Crematorium with the catafalque, lectern, upholstered chair seating, reception desk, sound desk furnishing, as well as furniture, including tables, chairs and display shelving for the meeting rooms.
Treske worked with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council to create a scheme for their refurbished Robin Hood Crematorium including bench seating, tracks, curtain controls and curtains.
Treske were commissioned to design and make bespoke crematoria furniture for the two chapels. Catafalques, adjustable height lecterns, sofa seating, upholstered seats and committal curtains were part of the commission.
