Treske were asked to design and make bench seating for the balcony by Scala Architects as part of the refurbishment of Putney Community Church. The balcony was stepped with very limited space between steps to place seating. The design incorporated an underseat shelf to allow belongings to be stored off the floor, while a cavity was created from behind the seat to allow people sitting in the row behind to have as much foot space as possible. All upholstered in a choice of tweed fabric and installed carefully by Treske.
As part of a wide-ranging modernisation of the interior of the church, which was completely emptied of the old box pews, Treske designed and manufactured 36 oak stacking benches, 24 oak side chairs and 16 oak armchairs, together with a special altar table.
Treske made 70 St Mary's stacking benches and 14 armchairs as part of the reordering of St Mary's Church, Twickenham.
Major good fortune enables Holy Trinity to undertake a complete reorder, including sanctuary, choir and nave furniture from Treske.
